Departure #1

Hello all!

Today was a sad day, ending with goodbyes and waves to London from the majority of our crew here, on they're last day it was decided on to visit the London Tower which was incredibly interesting and by the way super cool, it is a castle after all.

I'll start with our morning, most of us and by most I mean Wade, Tyler, Dylan, Mel and myself had a wonderful sleep in, which didn't really do much side I spent the night tossing around and eventually ended up passing out on camera with my D and inevitably dropping my computer off my bed, which i did not hear but was told about it the morning... twice.

We left the house at around 10am and walked down through Blackheath (where we are staying if I haven't mentioned it before) around the main corner and to the train stop where we boarded a quick train to Lewisham and traded off the TFL to the Clipper boat which took us on a beautiful 30 minute ride through the River Thames and under the Tower Bridge that hangs olympic rings from its highest middle peak. We got to pass the wicked awesome British Royal Navy Helicopter carrier "HMS Ocean" sitting at dock here to protect the Olympics.

The boat took us through beautiful old buildings and wharfs and dropped us off at the gated pair that looks onto London Tower. All of us went through on a very entertaining tour with a wonderful guide who gave us some history and some good jokes to match about the old buildings, tales of murder, incest, betrayal, beheading, hanging, burial and much more, the trip ended with the beautiful Crown Jewels, and a walk through of the old Queens quarters which had us walking down 6 flights of spiral stairs to the exit... think you know dizzy? try climbing down 6 flights of spiral, castle stairs... not fun, ask mum who almost went ass over tea-kettle on the last flight!

This is where our goodbyes took place as most of the gang gave hugs and walked off to the Clippers that would take them back the way we had come, Wade and I headed up town where we walked down Region St and up and down Shawsberry Rd at least 4 times till we finally found a costume shop we had been looking for that! This is where Wade and I bought 2 red leotards for him and Dylan to wear to the individual finals tomorrow.

The night was finished off at a nice indian restaurant in town and a little too much wine that ended up in a wicked good game of "Celebrity" and yours truly getting sick. The over-tired, over-worked, time change, body of mine gave out on me and I was sick all night and so tired that I couldn't even stay awake staying straight up.

I was however woken up at 2 am by Dylan and Wade, actually... to be honest it was Dylan... giggly and drunk and bothering me when I was sick and sleeping and all I get is "dduuuudde... guess where we're going!!!" I woke up this morning to be reminded of it, and how it wasn't a joke, that our trip is going to turn into a little bit of a travel extravaganza (my own term... seemed fitting) and it will bring us to Paris for the weekend as well as a few other stops and end us in Dublin on the Sunday night like planned, long trip but it will turn out to be a lot of fun.

As it is late and I am extremely tired I will speak to you all tomorrow morning.

Have a good night

Cheers,

-hero
