Welcome to the first day of the Olympic jumpers team events for the Nations Cup round 1. We started the day as a group (mostly) and walked over the bridge through security and the 15 minutes walk to the stadium where we sat for the show.As for the class it started with a nice video of Olympic winners this year as well as a throw back from the passed main winners over the last... 70 years or so?
They split the nations this time, which was new to all of us. The individual round 1 was on Friday and so they took the scores for each individual and put them together in the team gathered store and that was the listing of the teams order-of-go, but they split the team into 2 sections, the worst 7 teams followed by the best 8 teams which ended up being totally opposite! The first 7 who were listed as the worst 7 started with 11 individual riders, who then were followed by 7 teams including Canada and Australia... The first individual in the ring was met with a light shower from the once blue skies from this morning, within the first 20 horses it was a total downpour! Safe to say the jacket that had been said was waterproof was NOT.
The rain came down hard for around an hour, when it finally did stop the first round was done and we were all soaked to the bone for round 2! It was a good day overall except the fact that it was so wet and so chilly when the wind blew across the stands.

The walk home was nicer, gathered all our stuff and started the walk home, the nice view and crowds were fun to see but the volunteers were there to hold us off to one side and steer us in the right way to get away from the main streets, blocked areas and copers. It really wasn't too bad of a walk and the rain that fell was actually not bad and was nice to cool off the humidity that had been hitting us all morning. The only catch for the walk home was when we were diverted through the park across a grassy area that was in front of our house, it wasn't the biggest deal for the next 30 feet would be all it took to get to the grass across the road and walk up to our house, we were diverted by a few security guards who were very nice and very accepting when we all said "oh we live right there" and pointed it out, but when we met two men that were telling everyone to go through the farmers market that was by the park across from the house, Brennan turned and nicely told the man "we are actually staying in the house in the corner right there" and the one man... who looked like he HATED his job and was miserable responded to us "ya... so does everyone else in London!" in a bitchy, asshole tone, and so we basically wanted to tell him to &#*$ off and cut through the blocked road anyways.
Bastard...
Anyways, we are now sitting in the house organizing our evening, dinner and personally I am going to look at watches since this is the place for shopping so I am told. But since we are all now yelling and I want to go find a watch this is the end for now.
Thanks for your time and enjoy it.
Cheers,
-Hero
